Learning That I Can

My husband always fixed everything around the house for me.  He managed the electronics, cleaning of the gutters, building bookcases, and he changed every light bulb; in fact, when he died, I didn't even know where he kept the light bulbs.

Daily I am finding that I am capable of learning and doing the things that he always did for me.  I am so grateful for all the love he poured into tasks that allowed me to be queen of the castle without getting my hands dirty.  Today I am able to climb the ladder and clean the gutters myself.  I also went to the internet provider, got a new modem, and hooked it up myself.  Last weekend I used a jig saw - all by myself.

I am more afraid of not learning to do the necessary things than of trying.  Let's see what else I can accomplish.......
